Enough
Enough is enough. I am quitting medicine, it's too much for me. I should have known that it's not for me, with all the cells, cytokines, inflammation, allergies, this and that. I am going to make the right decision.

I am rather worried when reading this post. I hope everything is going alright. Please tell me that this is an April Fool post. For once in my life I wish this is a prank.

at first you guys were worried.
and then you guys decided it was an april's fools joke.
then immediately, the whole 'tone' of the comments changed, you guys were relieved, and started laughing.
what if, and i'm just asking what if, it IS true? not that i am saying it is, and it probably isn't, but shouldn't you wait until he confirms that it IS a joke before feeling relieved?
have you been given expectation so high, that you seem unwilling that consider that once in a while, he may find the going a bit tough?
haha sorry changyang, you know i just like to ask questions like these. i'll apologise to you by giving you some chocolates, if and when i ever get some for free. ;p
@guava: At first only one guy was worried, the second guy immediately picked up it was aprils fools.
I probably don't know him as well as you do, but from what i DO know of ChangYang, he doesn't seem like the kind of person to quit because of this.
it is april fool and chang yang clearly state that in his blog, just he is hiding his "april fool" word with white colour. unless you highlight it.... you will never see it!!! haha... i use to do that also to confuse others.

I really thanks you for your concerns, and if I affected your mood in any way I apologize sincerely. It's April Fool after all, chill okay?
But really, I do feel that medicine is not my forte in that I always have a nagging feeling of "I would have done better if I studied ____". However, I do realize that such thoughts are harmful in that they build a sand castle which aren't solid in nature.
But don't worry, I have never really regretted entering medicine at all. In fact I find it enlightening and sometimes I do enjoy the process and privilege in being part of the medical community. Yeah there are ups and downs through the tormenting course, but I will brave through them with as much confidence as I could muster.
